De Anne Wingate returned from India in March of 2012, with a desire to help children living in slums around the world receive the best education possible. She saw first hand that this was the only hope for these precious little ones. Thus, the seed was planted for her non-profit, Rippled Purpose.
Rippled Purpose is organized to provide hope to children living in slums around the world through education and love – which extends to their nourishment, medical & dental care, and college aid. All funding will be utilized for programs that create self-sufficiency within the community. Giving children the chance to rise above oppression and poverty are the fundamental principles driving Rippled Purpose.
Each time De Anne wore the beautiful tunics from India, someone in America would ask her where they could find one. An idea was born; import the tunics from India and use the profits from each tunic to fund Rippled Purpose.
A portion of the tunics are handmade and embroidered by a group of women in need. They are paid by the piece. This small network is being taught English, how to read, write and basic finance skills. Dignity is restored. Our vision is for all the tunics to be made by these women.
We can make a difference! One purchase, one child, one person, at the time…

Note: The 501.3c designation for Rippled Purpose is still pending with the IRS. Due to IRS backlog in processing non-profit applications, donations made in 2012 may not be tax deductible.
